They forgot the toothpaste.

Give guests a store that never closes, right on your property. They tap a card, take what they need and close the door. You make the sale, and nobody has to text you. Every machine comes with our Host Vending Guide.

Airbnb Vending is an independent company with no affiliation with Airbnb, Inc. We sell AI smart coolers to short-term rental hosts and property operators.

One stay gives you several chances to make a sale.

Guests are away from home, often without a car, and on your property at hours when stores are closed or far away.

  1. Late arrival, empty kitchen

Water, cold drinks, breakfast bars and something for the kids, without getting back in the car.

  2. Up before everyone else

Cold brew and a yogurt while the rest of the house sleeps.

  3. Halfway to the beach

Sunscreen, ice cream, a phone charger. The things that get remembered at the door.

  4. The toothpaste moment

Pain reliever, toothbrush, tampons, diapers. Small purchases that feel like a rescue, and no message to the host.

  5. Checkout snacks

Drinks and snacks for the drive home, on the last walk past the machine.

51%

People do forget things

In a AAA survey of 2,204 road-trippers, 51% forgot an important item. Toothbrush or toothpaste and phone chargers topped the list.1

Bigger groups, bigger baskets

Group travel is one of Airbnb's strongest uses, and homes with four or more bedrooms are among its fastest-growing listings.2 More people per stay means more people who need something.

Staff needed at the register

No cash and no honor box. The machine charges the guest for what they take, and you check stock and sales from your phone.

Simple for guests. Light work for you.

What your guest does

  1. Tap to unlockA card or phone wallet opens the door. It's cashless only.
  2. Take what they wantThere are no buttons or spirals. Guests pick items up like they would at home.
  3. Close the doorAI vision works out what was taken and finishes the charge. The manufacturer rates recognition at 99%.

What you do

  1. Choose products and pricesSet them up in the companion app, and the machine learns new items in under six hours.
  2. Watch stock from your phoneSee inventory and sales in real time, including what's running low.
  3. Restock at turnoverYou or your cleaner can top it up during a visit you're already making.

Stock it for where your guests are.

It's your machine, so you decide what goes in it and what to charge. Our Host Vending Guide helps you start with what guests actually buy. Depending on your state, alcohol may be an option too. The door stays locked until a card is tapped, but a tap doesn't verify age, so you'd need the right license and an age-check plan first.

It isn't right for every rental. Here's how to tell.

Usually works

  • Several units sharing one machine, like a cabin cluster, small motel or boutique hotel
  • Large homes that sleep 10 or more, with frequent group bookings
  • Properties far from a store, or where guests arrive without a car

Run the numbers first

  • One home with average occupancy and small groups. See our one-property option
  • Seasonal markets with long quiet stretches
  • Properties with a convenience store a short walk away

Usually doesn't

  • Small apartments with no room for a 76-inch-tall machine
  • Buildings where an HOA or lease rules out selling on site
  • Hosts who can't restock or don't have someone who can

Run your numbers.

Just one property? Think of it as an amenity.

One rental usually won't pay off a machine quickly on snack sales alone. Owners who buy for a single property are adding something most rentals don't have, and they decide how far to take it.

A standout guest amenity

A stocked, always-open shop on the property feels closer to a boutique hotel than a typical rental. Guests get what they want without leaving or messaging you.

Your products, your prices

Stock premium drinks, local treats, gifts and travel essentials, and set your own markups. Depending on your state and license, alcohol may be an option too.

Bigger homes sell more

A five-bedroom home that hosts reunions, retreats and weddings has many more people buying over a stay than a small rental does.

It moves for events

The machines are on wheels, so you can roll one to the event room, the clubhouse or wherever the party is. It just needs power and a signal where it lands.

Locked between purchases

The door stays locked until a guest taps a card, so your stock stays secure while people come and go.

From guest house to grand lobby, drawn to scale.

Start with the compact machines for a home or guest house, and move up for larger properties. The door beside them is a standard 80 inches, so you can see what will fit.

Compact, for homes and guest houses

For larger properties

Pricing comes with your quote. Item counts assume 500 ml bottles and change with your product mix. Confirm the specs for your machine before you order.

Your machine comes with the playbook.

Every machine includes our Host Vending Guide, so you aren't guessing what to stock or what to charge.

  • What to stock by property type, season and guest
  • How to price convenience items without putting guests off
  • How to lay out each shelf so guests find things quickly
  • How to restock around your turnovers and cleaners
  • What to check first on placement and listing wording

Questions hosts ask.

What comes with my machine?

Every machine comes with a consult on placement and your numbers, plus our Host Vending Guide for stocking, pricing and running it.

Who makes the machines?

They're Haha Vending AI smart coolers. We sell them to rental hosts along with a consult and our Host Vending Guide.

Does Airbnb allow this?

Airbnb's off-platform policy says optional fees may be paid offline if the guest agrees, while mandatory fees and booking payments must stay on Airbnb. It doesn't specifically address on-site retail.4 Keep every purchase optional, never tie it to the booking, and don't use the machine to send guests to book off Airbnb. Read the current policy for your listing, because it can change.

Will it fit through my door?

Measure your whole delivery path, including door widths, stair turns and ceilings. The Guest House is under 23 inches wide. The Après is 80.4 inches tall, which is taller than a standard door, and the Estate is nearly 54 inches wide. These machines weigh 190 to 380 pounds, so confirm your floor can carry the load.

Can it go outside on a patio?

Ask us before planning an outdoor placement. We'll confirm what's allowed for your model and climate, including shade and weather protection.

What does it cost to keep running?

Plan for the service fee, card processing, electricity and products. The service fee is currently about $40 a month per machine, covering the payment terminal, SIM and software. Daily power use ranges from 2 kWh on the Guest House to about 8.3 kWh on the Après.

What if a guest disputes a charge?

Guests pay with the card or wallet they tap, so a billing question comes to you as the seller. Post a support phone number or email on the machine so guests can reach you directly. We'll go over how refunds work during your consult.

Is there a warranty?

Machines typically carry a one-year warranty with technical support, and paid extensions are available. We'll confirm the coverage for your machine in your quote.

Can the machine match my property?

Ask about custom wraps during your consult. A good placement and wrap can make it feel like part of the property and not like a machine in a break room.

Find out if the numbers work for your property.

Tell us about your rental. We'll go over the right machine, your numbers and what you'd need before you buy.
